RUGBY FIELD

Over the years, I was fortunate enough to be selected in age-grade representative teams; Auckland U18, Blues U18, Auckland U19, and Auckland U21.

Stints in premier rugby for the Auckland University Rugby Football Club (AURFC), also lead to selection for the NZ University team in 2016 & 2017.

Rugby has been one of my biggest teachers in life. The lessons I have taken away from rugby (and the teams I have been a part of), have all helped shape the way I approach my work, training and everyday life today.

GYM FLOOR

I have been involved in some form of weight training on and off since 2013, only taking my own training seriously from 2018. I started working the gym floor in 2019, and have been carrying out a combination of in-person and online coaching since.

Team culture was a value heavily practiced during my time at AURFC, which has helped me in developing strong relationships with my clients. I pride myself on open communication and being able to work collaboratively in order to get the most out of their training.

POWERLIFTING PLATFORM

In 2020, my training focus shifted away from rugby and solely on my weight training. However, I was still after a competitive outlet. This is when I discovered powerlifting.

I have been heavily involved since, but some of the core values from rugby are still prevalent in the way
I approach my training today – consistency, patience, accountability, discipline, work ethic, to list a few.
